1930s ED BOHLIN 1” Sterling Ranger Buckle Set Gunsmoke Patina Kick-Punch Rope.
For sale is a very early 1930s ED BOHLIN 1” two piece sterling ranger buckle set with the highly desirable football mark, early kick punch roping and THE most impressive gunsmoke patina I have ever seen on a buckle. See the second picture for the incredible blues and reds in this buckle, and the last picture for a comparison with another period set with normal patina. Absolutely fantastic piece, though 1” sets are common today they were somewhat unusual back in the day. Marked sterling and 10k I assume there was a 10k shield at some point but this piece just looks like all sterling to me, was probably removed by JIM to put his own initials on the buckle. Very strong engraving throughout. I see 1” sterling tips pop up all the time on eBay for pennies so if you don’t already have one on a belt finishing this set out will be a breeze.
