1995 AQHA American Quarter Horse Ass'n Silver Montana SS Buckle + Belt Loop Set

Description

For your consideration is an American Quarter Horse belt buckle with one matching belt loop. Featured in the 1985 edition of "Quarter Horse Outfitters America", page 3, item #8012.
The buckle measured 4-1/8" from tip to scroll, and 3-1/8" from top to bottom The belt loop will accomodate a 1-1/2' wide belt. A 5/8" standard inside prong and clasp will fit in any belt hole or belt. The raised, gold scrolls state in black recessed letters, "American" on the top, and "Quarter Horse" on the bottom The gentle, graceful tip features the vintage, "AQHA" scrolled logo in black and a standing horse. The entire frame of the buckle is wrapped in golden rope trim. Silver open art portions feature Montana Silver-Smith's iconic SW floral designs. Photo 6 and photos of the belt loop show loss of silver plate.
The style of the scroll, open center, paired with a graceful tip has been discontinued. The Montana Silversmith Company was formed in 1973. Through the years the Company has sponsored many equine events in all breeds.
