This is an original antique dog oil painting on board featuring a study of a Saluki dog, dated '37 for 1937 and fully signed by the well known dog artist M.S. Johnson, the dog is also named on the top left hand corner "Sand Spring Fatima" it is of superb quality, it is in very good condition, there is a very slight 1" crack to the oil paint to the very bottom middle not affecting the image, overall size including matt is approx. 18.5" x 15" this is a rare and important early Saluki antique featuring a named dog.
