    Description

    Buick Scramble pin flag
Tiger Woods will return as honorary chairman of the Buick Scramble national amateur golf tournament for a second season, Buick officials have announced.
As the honorary chairman of the 2004 Buick Scramble, Woods will be featured in tournament marketing and advertising materials and is scheduled to participate in the awards ceremony at the conclusion of the final round of the National Championships at Grande Lakes Orlando on Oct. 12.
Woods has a marketing partnership with Buick. He appears in Buick advertisements, participates in Buick golf promotions and uses a golf bag featuring the Buick logo.
The National Championship headquarters for the 2004 Buick Scramble will move from Walt Disney World Resort to Grande Lakes Orlando, a new world-class golf resort scheduled to open on July 1. The final round of competition is scheduled to take place on the new Greg Norman course at Grande Lakes Orlandos Ritz Carlton Golf Club.
The 2004 Buick Scramble kicks off with nearly 2,000 local championship tournaments starting in February. Open to amateur golfers of all ages and skill levels, participants with certified USGA Handicap Indexes compete as four-person teams in a scramble-type format. The local winners advance, along with their respective host PGA club professional, to one of 130 PGA sectional (regional) championships. The sectional winners advance to the national championships.
