For sale is the undisputed grand daddy champion of all western buckles: the legendary, the unmistakeable EDWARD BOHLIN 5A 1” buckle set.
Without exaggeration, it does not get better than this. This piece has every single variation possible - two tone sterling and gold, rubies, and gold roping. This piece is not available with rubies today at Bohlin and needs to be custom ordered at 0 per ruby, adding 00 to the already hefty ,000 price tag.
Bears the recent Shield Bohlin logo, hall marked sterling and 10K gold (yellow). The engraving is breathtaking. Every square millimeter of this buckle set is covered in the most immaculate engraving. You can see how large of a statement piece this buckle in the last photo, when compared to a standard 1” size buckle and a 3/4” set. The size, the engraving, is all top tier.
Comes with a hand tooled Vogt natural tan belt size 36 ( for 34” waist). I am deeply ashamed to admit that due to the pandemic last year, my jeweler was closed so I attempted to attach the buckle tip to the belt myself. Unfortunately the small tack I used was too long and it pushed the ruby out of its socket. I am including a replacement ruby, but because the belt tip itself is intact (ruby did not fall off due to wear over time which would need reconstruction) any skilled jeweler can remove the tack and replace the ruby for a nominal sum. That is the last time I ever try to tack a belt tip myself!
