Rare and Exquisite SIGNED and NUMBERED Orrefors "Thousand Windows" vase. Designed and crafted by Simon Gate (1883-1945), a highly renowned glass artisan from Orrefors, Sweden.
According to Orrefors, "The success of Simon Gate in Paris in 1925 constituted the start of the long Orrefors tradition of creative design, closely combined with genuine and innovative craftsmanship. Today, skilled artisans continue in the spirit of Gate."
Known as "Thousand Windows", this elegant pattern, created in 1934, is

eportedly in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

features 6 sides of deep facet cutting,
creating a highly refractive modernist piece of art glass that offers a great play of light as well as a very unique optical illusion.
