    Description

    This is a classic piece of mid-century Orrefors crystal, the world-famous Swedish glassworks founded in 1898. It has the label, but no signature.
    The Pamona pieces were designed by Lars Hellsten (B. 1972) with a modern stylized 5-petal tulip flower form in lead crystal.
    The dense crystal gives a surprising delicate ring when tapped.
    At 5.5” across tapering to a slender base and 3.5” high, this piece weighs just short of one and a half pounds.
    Pamona style shouts the early modern bravura.
