RARE! 1937 Edvin Öhrström Orrefors Optic Ribbed Vase signed "Orrefors 1746"

Description

The vase has significant scratches at the bottom (age related)  and minor scuffs on the side which are not noticeable and were difficult to photograph but worth mentioning. I don't see cloudiness in the glass, only minor specks. It weighs about 4lbs.
Condition is taken in consideration in pricing. Similar vases when found are going for 0+

Edvin Öhrström joined Orrefors in 1936
One of the first things done by Edvin Öhrström was to explore the concept of creating optical effects within the vessel. He developed a tool to create indentations inside a vase or bowl while still on the end of a ponti rod. This new technique created reflections of light from within the form.
examples from 1937 include vases FU 1746, FA 1806 and FA 1832.
During 1939 we see some examples FA 1884, FA 1886, FU 1887, and FU 1892 which include vases and bowls.
