This fantastic pre-owned huge & heavy 1989 NFR trophy buckle is being offered in true vintage and as worn condition, which is good and fully functional. “Sterling Silver Overlay” means that a heavy layer of sterling silver was BONDED (not plated) the to the buckle’s bronze base……..the result yields the exact look of a solid sterling silver buckle and will not peal, like plated buckles can. In fact, over time, sterling silver overlay buckles will develop the same darker tarnish finish as solid sterling buckles will. As for Gist Silversmiths, any buckle collector knows that they are at the top of the mountain……’nuff said there.
