RARE Orrefors Residence 9 7/8" Tall Swirl Vase

Orrefors Residence 9 7/8" Tall Vase.This elegant Swedish crystal vase was designed by Olle Alberius (1926–1993) for Orrefors. The heavy clear crystal vase is part of the Alberius' classic Residence range and features a paneled body with 8 sides. The panels rise straight up from the base and curve to the right giving a swirl effect.
The vase is in excellent condition with only one blemish as pointed out in the photo.  Barely noticeable as its not a chip and barely a crack. As a vintage item you should also noted that there are anomalies related to production consisting of waviness and a small air bubble within the glass that are mentioned for accuracy. The vase stands 9 7/8" tall and is 5 3/4" across the top as measured from the furthest points of the opposite corners. The mouth itself is 4 5/8"in diameter. The foot is 3" across and is signed in diamond point pen reading "Orrefors". As mentioned the vase is quite substantial and weighs in at 9lbs
This crystal vase would be a great addition to a collection of Orrefors or to a wider grouping of Scandinavian glass. The piece is nicely sized for a desk or shelf and looks great displayed on its own as a sculptural object or filled with flowers. A very pretty piece!
