VERY RARE DESIGN STERLING SILVER CA. 1960’S WESTERN SILVERSMITHS, VISTA, CALIFORNIA, USA HIGHLY DETAILED HAND ENGRAVED SHIELD OR CREST BELT BUCKLE—
The condition of this 50 plus year old solid sterling silver belt buckle is exceptionally nice. The expert hand engraving makes the buckle sparkle. The crest or shield can be personalized with a name, monogram initials or a design of your choice. It might have originally had something inside the crest that could have been removed by a previous owner…..it’s hard to tell for sure.  However, it can be re-personalized by an engraver. We have owned and seen many other sterling silver buckles manufactured by this maker but have never come across this particular design before.  It was likely a special or custom order at the time it was originally purchased. The size is moderate, measuring 2 1/2” x 1 3/4”, fitting belts up to 1 1/2” wide, and weighing about 35 grams or 1.2 ounces on our scale.
