SUPER RARE OLD WESTERN AMERICAN MADE ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER HANDCRAFTED AND HAND ENGRAVED VOGT SILVERSMITHS FOR SWEETWATER LONGHORN STEER & ROUND BEAD ACCENTS 2 CLASP BELT BUCKLE
This old western buckle is from the 1960’s era and we relied on an expert friend to identify it as being made by Vogt Silversmiths for a retail seller named Sweetwater. It has a rather unusual design with 2 side clasps on the back……note that there is no peg with this buckle. The patina and hand engraving on the front are awesome looking!!  It shows some very minor tarnish and signs of use, but we think that makes the buckle look even better than new. Its’s well over 50 years old and so the condition is great for its age. It looks even better in person than our photos indicate.  We haven’t come across this style, design, and Sweetwater hallmark ever before. The buckle measures about 3” x 1 7/8”, has clasp openings of one inch and weighs about 2 ounces. It will be shipped USPS first class package in a nice gift box with insurance and signature confirmation of delivery.
