Vintage cast Silver Belt Buckle that features a bezel set Morgan Silver Dollar, dated 1881, as the center detail.
This would have to have been created by an accomplished silversmith / artist.  The fields surrounding the coin are paved with oak leaves and acorns.
It came to me with some military items, however, I always think this type of buckle has its roots in Western Wear.
There are no markings to identify its origins.  My jeweler afirms the body of the buckle is silver, however, could not determine the purity.
The coin looks to be in good condiition.  No gouges or glaring wear.  The Eagle side of the coin was chosen as the feature of the belt.
The buckle measures 7.5cm by 5 cm.  The loop would work with a leather or fabric belt that was 4cm wide or a bit less.
It has a a gross weight of 79 grams.
I know nothing about grading coins and am not a coin dealer.  To an untrained eye, the coin looks to be clean and crisp.
