Splendid Sandcast Turquoise and Sterling Silver Buckle

Description: Offered for sale is a beautiful Navajo sandcast belt buckle. It is set with a great green turquoise cabochon flowing with beautiful brown matrix. The stone is highlighted with a textured background and lovely silverwork and hand stamped designs. Is Stamped as sterling and has a nice weight to it.
The
Sandcast process
uses a special type of
sand
that has a clay-like consistency to create a mold into which molten
silver
is poured.
Maker: Hallmarked WBH Navajo.
Approx. Age: Circa 1970s.
Size: Measures 3" wide X 2" long. Fits up to a 1-3/8" belt. Weighs 73.3 g.
Condition: Good for its age. Normal wear and minor imperfections expected on used and vintage items.
