Maker
: A superb heavy crystal bowl by Sweden's iconic firm Orrefors, which has been producing top quality crystal since 1898.
Design
: The elegant pattern, called Sofiero, was introduced in 1961 and is still in production. Sleek, modern and composed of astonishingly bright and pure crystal, the faceted design would add a dramatic touch to any décor.
Along with the etched Orrefors name on the base is a number that appears to be B3834-111.
The Sofiero line was designed by the artist Gunnar Cyrén, who worked at Orrefors from 1959 to 1970 and again from 1977 until he passed away in 2013.
Size
: The bowl is 4 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide at the top. It weighs a hefty 2 pounds 9 ounces.
Condition
: It's in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, repairs or fogging. There are several tiny scratches on the base.
