This exposed chrome thermostatic brass bar valve is a contemporary bathroom product with it being a thermostatic shower, can prevent a change in water temperature whilst the shower is working, which makes it ideal for use in the family bathroom as children and the elderly will be protected from scalds or sudden cold spells.
Thermostatic shower valves work by mixing the hot and cold water to the temperature you set using the knob on the valve. Inside the valve is a heat-sensitive element that controls the hot & cold water inlets and reacts to the outside influences, such as a toilet flushing or washing machine use so that the water temperature remains constant.
Working Requirements:
For this shower to operate efficiently your water system will need to produce at least 0.5 bar of pressure, though we recommend 1.0 bar for best performance.
This can be achieved if you have one of the following:
Combination boiler systems
Gravity fed systems (only with pump)
Megaflow system
Pumped hot water systems
Un-vented hot water systems
