Vintage Holly Sugar & Sugar Beet Growers Belt Buckle - 1927-1989... Vintage Limited Edition Commemorative, Holly Sugar & Beet Growers 1927-1989 Belt Buckle #62 of 300, by artist Melissa Cowan and Zenith Advertising, of Spencer, Iowa. It is in very nice condition, as shown in the photos, it was purchased and has basically just been displayed in its box ever since. It measures approximately 3-1/4" x 2-1/2", it fits up to a 1-3/4" wide belt and it weighs about 6.6 oz. Please ask any questions before you buy and look at all the photos, what you see is what you are buying. Thank you.
**Side note: Many years ago, I worked at Great Western Sugar for 3 campaigns, as a "Racker". We threw 100# and 200# bags, on & off the stacks and into the boxcars. Growing & Making sugar is some real hard work and those guys/gals deserve a commemorative buckle! Cheers :)
FYI - The measuring grid in the photo has 1 inch squares and the dots are at 1/4 inch increments.
