    Description

    Orrefors is the best known (to me, anyway) Swedish crystal manufacturer.  Anne Nilsson is a well known designer.  She has designed this piece for Orrefors.  It has a lot going for it.  It is thick and heavy (4 pounds, 10 oz.). It is cut to have a the outside covered in a series of irregular rhomboids of different shapes and dimensions (see pic 3), which give a wonderful optical effect.   One 75" crystal bowl is NOT like another after all.
    Engraved on the bottom is Orrefors AN (for Anne Nilsson) and the model number 4705-12
    Interestingly, in listing this item, I find that eBay does not recognize "Sweden" as a country of origin.  It requires "Scandanavia".  Another instance of Big Tech trying to change the world?  I hope it is something lower tech than that.
