VINTAGE "OLDE ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE" SET OF SIX BREAD&BUTTER/DESSERT PLATES

Description

This item is a set of six vintage Johnson Brothers bread and butter/cake plates.  They measure 6 inches in diameter. Pattern is a lovely brown transfer ware pattern with multi color accents, “Olde English Countryside”, made in England.
They measure approx 6 inches, have scalloped edge; all are in nice condition, no scratches, chips, or utensil marks. There are some minor inherent flaws in the finish on the back. Otherwise, glaze coat is uniform and colors are clear and vibrant.
A classic look, this pattern mixes well with other Johnson Brothers designs such as Heritage House, Friendly Village, and others
These dishes are the some of the last classic china that were made in England. The patterns that are still being produced, I notice are being made in Portugal.
