VINTAGE ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER GENUINE **1943 CIMARRON STAMPEDE RODEO QUEEN** WESTERN AMERICAN BELT BUCKLE MADE BY CROCKETT & KELLY---The second week of August this summer will mark the 85th renewal of the Cimarron River Stampede Rodeo, held anually in Waynoka, Oklahoma, USA. The Stampede began in 1936 and was originally held in Perry Phillips Pasture. When the 1943 Stampede Queen won this buckle, the event was still known by its' original name, the Cimarron Stampede, and it continued to use this name until it was changed to the Cimarron River Stampede in 1946. This is a truly historic American rodeo buckle. It is being offered in its original, uncleaned, and as-worn condition, which is amazingly nice for a WWII era collectible. Measures 4 1/8" x 2 7/8" and accepts belts up to 1 1/2" wide. Total weight is 2.6 ounces.RD--770.
