    This vintage silver inlay ranger set has been beautifully crafted by Native American artists for B. G. Mudd of Corrales, New Mexico.  The inlay looks to be purple-pink sugilite with mother of pearl shell and onyx.  The back of the buckle is hallmarked with the B.G. Mudd hallmark and stamped sterling.  The leather belt was handcrafted by John Allen Woodward of Descanso California.
    The buckle measures 2 1/4" across and 1 7/8" wide.  The loops measure 1 1/4" tall across the top and are just over 1/4" wide at the base.  The inlaid tip is 1 1/2" long.  The ranger set and belt show vintage wear.  All of the inlay is smooth to the touch.  The silver has patina from age and could be polished to a shine if you wished.  The leather belt shows lots of wear in the area of the holes - see the close-up photos above.
